ABA First Steps

Watching your child’s first steps, words and new behaviours can be a joyful time.  Not all children learn the same way or at the same pace, and that’s okay.  When a child is not meeting their developmental milestones, it is important to jumpstart their learning and language through ABA Therapy, an autism centre for children.

In our ABA therapy program, ABA First Steps, we help young children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD or other communicative and learning delays to produce sounds, words, and learn to talk.  Here they learn to imitate their therapists, follow simple instructions, cooperate and participate in social interactions.

Your child will learn to communicate by using words, sign language, PECS or any other kind of communicative system that will allow them to be heard.

Therapists will teach through songs and music, games and actions.  Using our facial expressions, hands and movement to make language and learning come to life.  In ABA First Steps, learners are taught the basics within a fun and enriched environment.

Our ABA First Steps program works towards meeting a child’s 24 month milestone goals before moving into the ABA Building Block program.

Disclaimer: Improvements vary for all children based on many factors, but not limited to the age they started therapy, number of hours enrolled per week, attendance and parental involvement.  Our treatment team will support you during this process and provide recommendations best to help your child’s development.
