Classrooms

Treehouse

This is our academic & social classroom. Children focus on math, reading, writing at grade level using IXL, as well as, focus on peer interaction, emotional regulation and independence.

Calm Room

Our calm room is a dedicated space where children and staff focus on regulating the nervous system and practicing calming strategies to proactively reduce the likelihood of problem behaviour and enhance learning success.  The room is filled with a variety of sensory items to support each learner.

Peek-a-Boo Mountains & Beehive

These are our one-on-one classrooms where children focus on pre-school skills, language development, play and much more.

Tiny Town

This is one of our favourite areas—designed to nurture independence, imagination, and connection. Here, children can enjoy our cozy reading nook, engage in independent activities, and participate in peer play opportunities

Our Approach

We believe in a comprehensive and well-rounded methodology. At the core of our practice is the use of Verbal Behaviour to teach functional language and communication skills, and the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to shape behaviour and develop essential life skills. Beyond that, we also consider important factors such as diet, nervous system regulation, and other individualized needs to ensure the most effective and holistic treatment possible for each child.

Did you know…

Research has shown that probiotics can support children with autism by helping to improve gut health, which is closely connected to mood, behaviour, and overall well-being. Many families have reported a reduction in problem behaviours and improvements in focus and comfort when probiotics are included as part of a well-rounded treatment plan.

Autism & The Nervous System

Children with autism often experience a dysregulated nervous system, making it harder for them to feel calm, focused, and in control of their bodies. One of the most effective ways to support nervous system regulation is through deep pressure input—a calming sensory strategy that helps the body feel safe and organized.

These techniques activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps slow the heart rate, reduce anxiety, and support emotional regulation—creating a better foundation for learning and behaviour.

Deep pressure can include:

  • Weighted blankets or vests

  • Firm hugs or squeezes

  • Pushing/pulling heavy objects

  • Rolling with a therapy ball or under cushions
